Born of the 2024 merger of Taylor Bennett and Birchwood Knight, Taylor Birchwood is the specialist executive search firm for communications and corporate affairs. Together with our partners in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco, we recruit for permanent and interim roles globally. We partner with clients to search for candidates in a range of corporate affairs functions, including media relations, public affairs, internal communications, investor relations, sustainability and financial communications.
Our deep experience and precise approach deliver results: 99% of our clients tell us they would recommend us, and 96% of the people we place are still in post after two years. We have a market-leading approach to equity, diversity and inclusion. This is underpinned by the work of the Taylor Bennett Foundation, an award-winning charity which encourages people from ethnically diverse backgrounds to pursue a career in corporate affairs and communications.
We are actively looking to grow our team with smart, energetic people who can help us continue to develop what we do and how we do it. You will contribute to the commercial success of the business by supporting the search process from start to finish, and act as an ambassador, developing awareness of Taylor Birchwood among the corporate communications community.
You will develop and embed practical systems and processes to help deliver a best-in-class client and candidate experience, and contribute to high-quality but efficient projects.
Core responsibilities include:
- Provide support in the delivery of search assignments
- Help to conduct an ongoing programme of research and relationship-building with potential future candidates. Being curious to learn about different organisations will help anyone joining the team, where in any one week you could be working with clients as wide ranging as a football club, a tech start-up, a government regulator, or a bank
- Strengthen our relationships with our international partners in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco, through regular catch-up calls, and project-specific knowledge sharing exercises
- Maintain up-to-date intelligence on the communications industry, recording findings on our CRM system
- Manage a schedule of networking events, international travel and marketing activity
- Develop our social media activity, and manage thought leadership exercises, including surveys, opinion pieces, and interviews
Core requirements for this role:

- Examples of very strong organisational skills, for both your own work and in proactively managing projects as part of a team
- Exceptional and demonstrable levels of ‘attention-to-detail’, with a strong work ethic, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Excellent written English skills
- Professional and confident manner; comfortable dealing with both candidates and clients at the most senior level
- Interest in Business, Politics and Current Affairs. Our clients are at the centre of the UK and International business world, and so it’s important that you follow the news, and take a keen interest in political and business developments
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
