Premier League – Content & Publications Manager

The Premier League is looking for a Senior Content and Publications Manager to support the wide-ranging operations of the Communications Department, specifically focusing on the production of official Premier League publications and other editorial content. The right candidate will be motivated, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have a background in communications with excellent written and editorial skills, and significant experience overseeing the production of publications and reports.
The role will require the candidate to work with relevant Premier League departments, Clubs, other external stakeholders and relevant agencies to manage the production process of publications to the highest standards, as well as bringing their expertise to other editorial output.

Our hybrid-working system also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week. Where possible, you will attend the office or site visits in line with company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
The role:
The person will work on the proactive side of the communications department to support the production and delivery of key Premier League materials. The focus of the role will be editorial content, but an eye for creativity and knowledge of digital content will be important.
The main duties will include but not be limited to:
- Creation of the Premier League Annual Report and other business-wide publications and reports
- Drafting relevant communications such as press releases, briefing documents and toolkits to support Premier League campaigns and activities
- Managing third parties for the production and delivery of publications
- Working with the marketing department and external agencies to ensure brand guidelines are implemented
- Working with colleagues and third parties to commission research to support communications activity
- Contributing to internal communications
- Development of internal style guides
- Production of campaign reports
Requirements for the role:
- Significant experience working in communications
- Excellent writing and editorial skills
- Proven track record overseeing the production of publications and wide-ranging content
- Sound understanding of design protocols and experience of implementing brand guidelines
- Acute attention to detail, ensuring content is accurate, relevant and usable
- Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- An appreciation of the Premier League’s structure, policies, issues and context in the industry
- Ability to use research, data and insights to analyse and structure work
- Strong organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence to deal with senior internal and external figures in a professional manner
- Availability for out of hours work as required, in accordance with our flexi-working guidelines
